ABOUT PORTUGAL

Portugal absolutely took me by surprise! In my opinion, a completely underrated European destination, Portugal had some of the most beautiful fairytale cities and natural landscape. I got the chance to travel to Portugal for a quick weekend trip during my time studying abroad in Spain, and it was such a fun time! With some of my classmates, we booked a university-affiliated excursion to Lisboa (Lisbon) and some neighboring cities. Topped with endless amounts of sangria and various clubs, we had the time of our lives in Portugal!

Travel Tips - Portugal

Lodging

When I traveled to Portugal, the entire trip was taken care of by a school-affiliated agency during my time studying abroad in Spain. We stayed at a unique lodging that truthfully, I can’t even find anymore! For your time in Portugal, I recommend looking into Airbnb, Expedia, and or Hostelworld for booking your lodging.

Transportation

Similarly, as I previously shared, all of the transportation was taken care of by my school-affiliated agency. For your transportation in and around Portugal, I recommend using Uber, Rome2Rio, and or Omio. For flights, Skyscanner is a great option for finding cheap flights alongside Google Flights.
