Hosting one of the famous World Wonders, Mexico is a vast, expansive country with plenty to offer. While Mexico may be known for its resorts and luxury travel in Cancun or Playa del Carmen, be sure to venture off the beaten path with a tour to get a better understanding of la cultura auténtica…the authentic culture of Mexico. I have been to Mexico several times and have loved the variety of activities and adventures you can do. Explore some of my favorite moments from my time in Mexico!

Quick Travel Tip: Be sure to lock your suitcase if you check a bag! I had various things stolen from my bag on my flight back home to the United States. You can never be too careful!

Travel Tips - Mexico

Lodging

For our stay in Cancun, we stayed at the Occidental Costa Cancún All Inclusive Resort. We greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel, and there were great accommodations for our large girls’ trip that spanned two rooms! The rooms were fantastic, and we had a great view of the ocean and took advantage of all the resort had to offer — spanning food, drinks, and events such as karaoke! The resort was in a good location, we were able to be picked up straight from our hotel for both of our excursions to Chichen Itza and the Adventure Eco Park. Overall, I would recommend this resort for your trip to Cancun!

Transportation

When flying into Mexico via plane, Uber is a great way to navigate around the country. Additionally, you can schedule hotel pick-ups/drop-offs and or excursions that take care of all your transportation for you!
