ABOUT IRELAND

Ireland was on my bucketlist for a very long time, and for good reason! From the notorious Cliffs of Moher to bustling pubs in Dublin, this country has so much to offer. Some of the main highlights of my time in this spirited country were hiking along the Howth Cliffwalk and indulging in delicious seafood on the coast. Although I was only in Ireland for a few days, I got to explore several cities and adventure off the beaten path. I greatly enjoyed my time in Ireland and hope that you get the chance to visit!

Travel Tips - Ireland

Lodging

When I traveled to Dublin, I booked with Hostelworld at Jacobs Inn. This stay was honestly incredible for a hostel! I greatly enjoyed the private cubicles, quirky design, and central location. Situated near the train station, I had no problems walking over to the lodging after my train in from Northern Ireland. As with all hostels, this stay was not meant for luxury travelers but worked exceptionally for my budget and desire to make some friends! Another cool feature of this stay is that they have a restaurant on site and require a key code to enter the building after hours, which made me feel very safe during my stay. I would highly recommend this hostel!

Transportation

In Ireland, after taking the train down from Northern Ireland (which I found incredibly convenient), I commuted around the country via tour buses and walking around. The city of Dublin is extremely walkable, and public transportation was fantastic! I took the metro to Howth, which is a coastal city just outside of Dublin, and it was a seamless commute. Take it from a small-town gal such as myself who has ALWAYS feared and struggled with public transport, Dublin is a very tourist friendly destination concerning transportation.
