CZECH REPUBLIC

ABOUT CZECH REPUBLIC

The Czech Republic hosts one of the most visited cities in Europe — Prague. My friend and I spent an incredible weekend exploring the city and all it had to offer. From river cruises to extravagant cuisine, the Czech Republic treated us so kindly. There are also a wide variety of clubs and medieval architecture to explore with pristine royal gardens that will simply take your breath away.

Travel Tips - Czech Republic

Lodging

For our stay in Prague, we booked our stay through Hostel World at the Luma Terra Prague Hostel. As with most of my trips to Europe, this stay was certainly a budget decision but served our purposes very nicely! The hostel was close to the tram station, which worked really well. As with most hostels, this stay had a quite quirky vibe decked with 20–30-year-olds. It was perfect for us! It was on the lower budget side than I usually prefer (i,e., the beds were okay, bathrooms fine, etc.) but overall, I would recommend it!

Transportation

As with all the navigation around Europe, planes, trains, and busses are a great way to get around. I booked most of my trains with Omio, which is a fantastic platform for European transportation. Eurail is also a great decision, too! Skyscanner is a great application for finding cheap flights, as well as Google Flights.

Activities

There were not many tours and such that we did during our time in Prague, but there are countless things to do in the city. Here are some of our top recommendations:

  •  Explore Prague Castle

  • Take a boat tour through the city

  • Enjoy a Trdelnik
