CANADA

ABOUT CANADA
Canada is one of the most diverse and expansive countries I have visited! The cultural (and linguistic!) differences you will find on the West Coast near Vancouver versus the East Coast near Montreal are almost night and day! I have been fortunate enough to visit both areas and found the mother-daughter trip I did with my mama to Montreal to be favorable. I love the French influence in the eastern region of Canada – it’s basically the North American Europe! Canada has something to offer everyone, especially the outdoor enthusiasts! In the near future, I plan to go to Banff National Park, which is certainly near the top of my bucketlist!

Travel Tips - Canada
Lodging
When we visited Toronto as a family, I was too young to be involved in the travel planning! With that said, I recommend looking into Airbnb, Expedia, and or Hostelworld for booking your lodging in Canada.
Transportation
In the rural areas of Canada, I imagine transportation is hard to find! Rental cars are probably the best way to go if you are outdoor adventurers. Otherwise, I have found in the cities that public transportation is fantastic and you can travel long distances on day tours. Otherwise, we have found Uber to be a great way to navigate around the country!
Activities
Canada is a massive country, and with it, there is so much diversity in what you can do! Here are some of my favorites:
-
Bike around the city of Vancouver
-
Explore the European city of Québec City
-
Enjoy the fall colors in the city of Montreal
